Monkey Punch (Original Mix) - Avesta

Avesta is back with another original production to follow hits like “Rollin” and “Arena.” “Monkey Punch” is an intricate progressive tune with synths and chords entwined for a raging dance energy. Even stronger comes the drop, which takes the existing elements to the next level and strikes hard with bass. The “Monkey Punch” is an actual assault that can be used as a weapon against any crowd. Head to Beatport for Avesta’s latest gem and feel the “Monkey Punch” for yourself.

Stay With You - Avicii ft. Mike Posner

When's the last time we haven't been able to count on Avicii for a solid Progressive House Track? I sure can't remember and with this recent release he has not disappointed his followers. Unfortunately, in my mind, accompanied by some sub-bar vocals, Avicii was still able to get the best out of his musical skills, blowing clubs away with a monstrous, synth-filled drop. I'd go ahead and assume you'll like this one.

Avicii ft Mike Posner - Stay With You by ERLIS

Reload (Original Mix) - Sebastian Ingrosso & Tommy Trash

House Music. That is what thehousehold is all about. Right here, with 'Reload', we have what we could consider the epitome of Progressive House Music. To be completely honest at this point the progressive  chords of these typical house tracks have become a slight bit repetitive; yet, with a slight twist and feel good, humm-along synth-progression, Ingrosso and Tommy Trash have once again proven to me the greatness and versatility of this Genre. Please Turn It Up.

Forever (The Knocks Remix) - Haim

There's nothing better than some uplifting female vocals coupled with some funky electronic talent possessed by New York Resident DJs The Knocks. Their take on Haim's vocal masterpiece makes the perfect pre-clubbing lounge track. Soothing and Enjoyable. Take advantage of the Free Download and enjoy!

Iron (Dyro Remix) - Nicky Romero & Calvin Harris

"Following giant remixes of Dada Life’s “Feed The Dada” and Laidback Luke and Angger Dimas’ “Night Like This,” Dyro is back with a preview of his take on Nicky Romero and Calvin Harris’ “Iron.” Dyro takes the Beatport chart-topper and infuses a symphonic synth progression layered over powerful drum kicks that culminates in a grinding bass drop. Try not to blow your speakers — or your eardrums — and stay tuned for the early October release on Protocol Recordings." DA

Scorpio (Original Mix) - Kryder

Following a heavy hitting remix of "Can't Stop Me" featured in several tomorrow land sets, UK DJ Kryder is back with an upbeat Club Track. With an atypical progressive build up and a heavy hitting emphatic drop he may have just joined my list for DJs to watch. Get crazy.

Party Hard (Original Mix) - Kill The Buzz [PREVIEW]

I'm back with some heavy hitting electro-house. Kill The Buzz is the newest of the unknown up-and-coming Electro artists arising from the dutch farm lands. You may be asking yourself why i posted the youtube link. Well, as soon as you watch the video, you'll see why. Well, I'll leave you with that and a promise that posting will not be as weak as it has been. Enjoy and Party Hard!

Years - Alesso

Hey guys, I know it sounds like we've been 'making up for not posting in a while' in every post, but we've been pretty busy lately so we apologize. Get pumped for this semi-new but still sick Alesso track.

Take A Walk (dBerrie Remix) - Passion Pit

POST #200 AT THEHOUSEHOLD!!! We've come a long way and I just wanted to take this chance to thank our avid followers and I hope thehousehold team has been able to provide you guys with the best of the best house music throughout this past year. Now for the 200th post do I have a treat for you. Take a Walk was released a few days ago by one of my favorite house DJs out there, David Berrie. With a remix of veteran indie artists Passion Pit, David Berrie has combined his unique skill of crafting one-of-a-kind build-ups and drops with some solid vocals. This song is amazing. I can't really describe it too well, so just give it a listen. It's quite impressive. ENJOY AND THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT!!!

Teacup (Original Mix) - Rune RK

I'm typically not one to laud house tracks without some proper vocals attached. But some tracks are just too good to ignore. Rune RK, a DJ I personally had never heard of before who turned out being the other half of the Danish DJ couple Artificial Funk, has proven his brother wrong who claimed he would never make it alone and has crafted a non-vocal masterpiece. You'll like it.

Here Comes The Sound - Mercer & Mystique

Who's ready for some hard-hitting dutch-house? Parisian Mercer and Mystique have once again decided to provide the avid clubbers from all around the world with a banger. With a catchy vocal refrain they successfully link into the drop that is bound to blow everybody away. Not for everyone this dutch house stuff, but heavy-hitting as always. Turn it up!

Tessellate (Black Box Remix) - Alt-J [PREVIEW]

"If you’re a veteran house music fan then you are in luck. This is somewhat hard to believe, but the Black Box we mention in the title is the very same group that dominated the house scene in the 1980s and 1990s. The masterminds behind the 1989 number one hit “Ride On Time” are back producing music! They show that they have lost none of the magic as they give Alt-J’s  ”Tesselate” the full remix treatment and turn the chilled out indie “Tesselate” into a groovy house tune. No word on a release yet, but have a listen to the preview below!" Thanks for this great track DA. ENJOY

Trembling Hands (Benny Benassi Remix) - The Temper Trap

Sweet Disposition is definitely a track we will all remember as well as all the remixes it caused. Now after a few years of Meditation and Vocal Recollection The Temper Trap has returned with yet another vocal masterpiece. Along with Benny Benassi the Trap has once again created a classic that will be played for years to come.

Spectrum (Calvin Harris Extended Mix) - Florence + The Machine

"Summer Song of 2012" I'm quoting myself here just to emphasize the intelligence of my past statement. Its now among my top played and I'm still not sick of it. At the household we rarely re-post, but this song is most definitely worthy of a solid re-post. ENJOY!!!

Steel Eyes (Original Mix) - BENJI ft. Sherry ST. Germain

I have been gone. For a long time. Several times now. And for that I'm truly sorry. But I'm back with short marathon for you guys and I hope that will convince you guys to forgive me. With a combo of some sweet vocals and a unique drop BENJI has once again created an enjoyable Progressive track for you all to enjoy. And please do so.

Fire (R3hab's Bigroom Remix) - Adrian Lux ft. Lune

Although the main photo of this post is the photo of the original 'Fire' by Adrian Lux and Lune, I think the track that needs to be recognized is the remix by R3hab. The original is good, the remix is better. I'm pretty sure this song isn't exactly the newest song out right now, but it has recently made its way near the top of my list of favorite house songs. Please listen, you will not be disappointed.

BONUS: I also threw in the original just so you can compare. Who knows, you might be a bigger fan of the original version.

Perfect World (dBerrie Remix) - Gossip

The first time I heard this song, I thought it was a bit boring.. that there was nothing really that special about it. When I started listening to it more and more, it really grew on me. Very catchy. The song gets good at around 1:30. It can get a little repetitive but still a track worthy of the household.

Fly Again (Whelan & Di Scala Remix) - Sebastien Drums & Mitch Crown

Maybe not the best track i've ever heard but definitely a solid one. Never heard of this duo before but they did a good job remixing Fly Again by two great producers.

Tell Me Why (Original Mix) - Supermode

Old but gold. Is and always will be a sick song by two of the best producers in the game, Axwell and Steve Angello. Enjoy Enjoy Enjoy

Nuclear Seasons (Michael Brun Remix) - Charlie XCX

Saving the Best for Last. Charlie XCX. I have no idea who he is. But along with young Haitian Michael Brun he sure has created a song to remember. The song includes a rather slow build-up with some unbeatable female vocals. It could epitomize the "House Track", but it is so much more than that. The vocals are captivating as they slowly lead you into the smooth transition into a heavy progressive drop. You'll really like this one.
AGAIN, I'M REALLY SORRY FOR BEING GONE FOR SO LONG BUT I HOPE THESE 7 TRACKS WILL MAKE UP FOR IT. PLEASE DON'T JUST LISTEN TO THE FIRST TRACK AND THEN MOVE ON TO THE NEXT WEBSITE, 'CAUSE YOU'D BE MISSING OUT ON SOME MONSTER TRACKS POSTED BELOW. IF THIS ISN'T YOUR KINDA SHIT THEN MASTERBEATZ AND I RUN ANOTHER BLOG FOR RANDOM GENRES UNDER master-beatz.blogspot.com SO CHECK IT OUT. ENJOY

Surrender - Hook N Sling feat. Evermore

We have featured young DJ Hook N Sling numerous times with tracks most other DJs can't compete with adn thus we have come to expect a certain level of quality from him. Al I can say is I am gravely disappointed. Not in Hook N Sling's impeccable producing skills, but much rather his poor selection of vocalist and vocals. "Surrender" is one of the hardest hitting songs I've heard this year with bass comparable to Sidney Samson's, but the vocals really ruin the build-up. Otherwise a bangin' track so listen in.

Hook N Sling feat Evermore - Surrender by Hook N Sling

This Is Your Life (Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman) - EDX & Nadia Ali

My favorite vocalist making a song with my favorite howetown Swiss DJ beitg remixed by my two favorite DJs out there. WOW. I didn't ever think it would come to this day. But I don't want to get your hopes up too high. not that its not a good track, I personally find it absolutely dirty. It's just quite unique.EDX starts the track with a pretty rapid buildup leading to a drop already around the one minute mark. He starts it with absolutely entrancing Nadia Ali vocals, its something I've never heard before, with this monotone ring to it. This is when the DJ Duo Dimitri Vangelis &Wyman step in with, again, something I've never heard before. Typically I would expect a heavy drop with a compilation of light synths from these two guys. But perfectly matching with Ali's creepy vocals, these two masterminds have added a dark undertone to the drop creating a unique combination. It's quite interesting, but, again, not for everyone. Tell me what you think.

Burning (Ivan Gough & Feenixpawl Remix) - Adrian Lux feat. Dante

Ivan Gough and Feenixpawl have left their mark on House Music History for generations to come with their revolutionary remix of "In My Mind". What could go wrong with another collab? Not too much I'd have to say. When you first hear the song you might be slightly disappointed, I most definitely was. The vocals are weak, unsubstantial, and repetitive, pretty much the ingredients to putting a club to sleep. Well, get ready for a ruff awakening. The drop they added to this track may be typified as a so-called "House-Drop" including light synths and small changes in notes, if it weren't for the upbeat, uplifting drop. Enjoy.

Don't Blame The Party [Mode] (Firebeatz Remix) - Bingo Players

If you're a regular follower of thehousehold by now you may have realized that I LOVE MODE. It is by far my favorite song and I have since it's release posted various mixes. One thing these mixes had in common, however, was that they were all progressive house. This one is quite simply put not. Newcoming Dutch Duo Firebeatz have put their own dutch electro twist on it and it is definitely not a track for everyone. It is for me. With it's slightly heavier hitting build-up, their re-make of this epic track has made it to the top of my songs for this year and with it they have made it to the top of my list for DJs to watch 2012. Enjoy.

Don't Blame The Party (Mode) (Firebeatz Remix) by Fresh On Campus

Out Of Control (Original Mix) - Mikael Weermets vs. Bauer & Lanford

"Their Biggest Track Yet!" Mikael Weermets' new track is a strong release, not much less then we would expect, but I would unfortunately have to disagree with DA. With a monster build-up we can undoubtedly place this song somewhere at the top, yet the effortless vocals and the soft drop aren't really doing it for me. Still a solid track, probably something more for the Trance fans out there.

Just Can't Stay Away (Original Mix) - Hard Rock Sofa & Squire

Fuck 3rd World Internet! I'm back with a banger. Hard Rock Sofa has proven time and time again that they can create a track that moves the dancefloor. Guys, this tack will not be moving the dancefloor. This track will be moving the whole club. Turn up the bass and Enjoy some of the finest Progressive House out there.

Fade Into Darkness (Jakob Liedholm Summer Mix) - Avicii ***PREVIEW***

Sorry for not posting in a while,  It's hard to get away from summer. This one should make up for my absence. Fade into Darkness is a song that has slowly faded into the darkness and disappeared from our radars. But why? Liedholm agrees and has created a masterpiece.

Spectrum (Calvin Harris) - Florence and The Machine

Florence and The Machine. I'm sure we can agree on the fact that these guys have had numerous solid productions. Spectrum is no exception. Yet, some may argue that their original version was a little slow, lacking life. Calvin Harris successfully fixed that 'issue' without changing the song to much. He kept in place the dreamy lyrics, the inspiring synths, and even one of the beats. It's unique for a remix to improve a song and yet maintain the essentials of the song. Good Job Calvin Harris!!!

Silhouettes (Disco Fries Remix) - Avicii

Every Body has their favorite song. Mine is silhouettes. I love the vocals, the drop, and the Avicii-esque synths. Yet, I'm willing to give one of these up. These two killed the drop. Its completely a different song and definitely still enjoyable. Turn it up 'cause this song hits hard. Real hard.

Three Triangles - Hardwell

Just released a hours ago, Three Triangles is Hardwell's new home run. His unique music has fascinated millions, including me and hopefully you, and this track should continue that legacy. With a progressive build-up and a hard-hitting drop Hardwell has once again created one to remember.

This song has conquered the top of my list and I just heard it. i fell in one with the vocals immediately and as soon as the drop came I knew I had found the one. Please accept my apologies for the constant radio water marking throughout "Phazing!!!" and I hope it doesn't ruin the song for you. Please enjoy this artwork!

Dounia (Original Mix) - La Fuente

Once again I have been knocked off my feet. Never heard of this La Fuente guy before, but Im so happy I finally did. This track is ill! He combines a progressive build up with a minimal drums drop and I am impressed. Never heard anything like it and I'm sure its not for all, but I love it, so check it out.

Describe (dBerrie Remix) - Blue Foundation

I posted a David Berrie remix pretty recently and if that didn't knock you of your feet then this will. His remix of Blue Foundation's Describe is one to remember.

Plug & Play - Siege

This shit is mad synthy. One could criticize the light drop and lack of vocals, but why don't we just laud the strengths of the song for once. Plug & Play is a more than solid progressive and definitely something playing. Enjoy!

The Sky (Extended Mix) - Mat ZO feat. Linnea Schossow

Hahaha, this kid is fucking goon. But as I never like to judge by appearance I gave Mat Zo's new track The Sky a listen and was knocked off my feet. Not physically, as I wouldn't really call it a banger, but rather mentally. Zo's synths combined with Linnea Schossow's lyrics created something I've never herd before. And its good. Enjoy!

Wide Awake (Dyro Remix) - Katy Perry [PREVIEW]

'Tis a banger. 'nuff said.

Silenced By The Night (Alesso Remix) - Keane

It didn't quite mke it into my top house tracks of this year, but it was pretty close to it. With his remix of Keane's Silence By The Night Alesso has created a solid vocal house anthem. Enjoy!

Still Getting Younger (Third Party Vocal Remix) - Wynter Gordon

This song is TOO sick. I know I haven't posted on thehousehold in a while, but this track will DEFINITELY make up for that. With Wynter Gordons amazing vocals and the Third Party's incredible song making abilities, this will definitely blow your mind. Thanks, Joe, for showing this to me.
